No, it just kind of tickles. It's more of a weird sensation than anything. When they take your stitches out, close your eyes and take slow deep breaths and imagine you're having fun somewhere with your friends and it'll be over before you know it. :o)

I assume you don't have insurance? You can try contacting the billing office at your hospital. A lot of times they are able to give decent discounts, and can sometimes take care of the bill altogether for you. If you are up front with them and make an effort to work something out, they will most likely work with you on it. I had a horrible hospital bill once because I had a kidney infection (xrays, bloodwork, antibiotics, etc). Anyway, I called the billing office and they actually found a doctor to take the case as a "charity" case and I didn't end up paying anything. For the future, you might want to look into some kind of health insurance.

No, Swettie. It doesn't really hurt. Just as you said sometimes it feels like a pinch but not always. Good luck.

It shouldn't. They're just cutting the stitches. Not you.

It doesn't hurt dear. It just pulls a little. No worries. Glad you're feeling better now. Just in time for summer!

It shouldn't. You should be healed up enough by now that it won't really bother you at all. You'll feel just the movement of them, maybe a tickle, but no pain.
