I grew up here in the Chi going to see the man in person, and I'm still in disbelief.

Check it...

Not as good as Bird? Wow. I'd love to hear that argument.

No competition in the 90's? Um... it's the NBA. How is there no competition in the NBA. Last I checked, Magic, Drexler, Barkley, Payton, Kemp, Stockton, and Malone were pretty decent players.

Kemp is not a hall of famer (like the other guys) I see your point. BUT the point I was making is that Kemp in his prime years (with the Sonics) was a BEAST. He was a double double machine and a lock for the allstar team for 6 years... pretty good.

The best ever man, bar none, period. Alot of people don't like Mike, but thats just because he is the main reason that Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, and other future hall of famers didn't win championships. He is the reason players like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird had to move over. He is a Legend...no...The Legend. I know what people will say to, "What if Jordan played in the NBA today?" My answer is that it wouldn't have been any different. Jordan adapted to his situation and era to be the best. How can you come out of retirement and run guys in their PRIME, like Penny and Shaq, Jason Kidd, Alonzo Mourning, Charles Barkley, Kobe and Shaq when together in LA, Allen Iverson(he did cross Jordan, but nothing compared to 6 championships) David Robinson and Tim Duncan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton, Reggie Miller...man i could go on and on!!! These players are way more clutch, basketball IQ's higher, played better and alot tougher defense than players today. Name the teams that are considered to have good defense...very few. It doesn't matter, Jordan adapted to the situation and won 3 in a row after retirement. Jordan was the greatest to lace 'em up in the NBA, no matter what nobody says!

My sister worked for the Bulls during the years that Michael was there. I saw about 300 home games.

Here is the reality of how great Michael was. Take any team of any era and ask the fans about this scenario.

Home team is down by 5 points with two minutes to go - how are the fans reacting? In Chicago, for the Michael years, we were going crazy, because this scenario means that we get to WIN, and we get to see Michael do something!

He was the greatest I ever saw on TV. Never got to watch Wilt or Russell. The thing about Jordan that amazed me was his shooting percentage as a 2 guard. Take away his time with the wizards and I think he was over 50%

Without a doubt - he is the greatest ever. I grew up watching that guy, and I still watch highlights on DVD. Nobody today is even close.

He made great defenders look foolish...kids Kobe and Lebron are good, but watch MJ. They pale in comparison, they are not on the same level.

MJ was the best of all time. Did you know that he was so good that they call all the other people that are the best at other sports the Michel Jordan of that sport. For example, Tony Hawk is the Michel Jordan of skateboarding.

almost as good as Bird, Wilt, or The Big O.

But if he were the best he certainly not the best ever by a very wide margain. He's just in a thousand commercials, could really dunk, and had no competition in the 90s.
