It was his death that caused the passage of Civil rights laws in this country, something that took over 150 years to accomplish! He could not do it when he was alive!

He also didn't blink when facing down the Russians who were putting missiles into Cuba, ones that could hit us!

I think he made Americans feel better about the country and those who were not of the US, also liked him as well!

Could not be LBJ as it appears no one learned a damn thing from Vietnam!

My father was in Vietnam in 1959, an army officer, as an advisor, and I am sure Kennedy was not president in 1959.

The Truman doctrine, started in Korea, was continued by a president named Dwight D, Eisenhower and a vice-president named Richard M. Nixon!

LBJ committed American combat troops onto Vietnam over a lie called the Gulf of Tonkin! Even though LBJ did that, the US had US Airforce pilots flying aircraft that were marked as South Vietnamese, and US Army Special Forces helping villages, well before combat troops were inserted by Johnson!!

Kennedy without a doubt. he brought a youthfulness, a knight in shinning armor type of feel to people. he modernized peoples outlooks. he vowed to put man on the moon. he was cut down in the prime of his life. all these things combine to change American culture completely. many peoples lives were drastically changed by him and his death.
I believe he probably was the main reason for today's liberal movement which sprung out of the 60s.
