That makes good Sci Fi, I suppose, but it isn't likely. It would be about like finding two unrelated humans with identical DNA. The life forms on habitable planets are surely unique.

The probability that everything would be exactly the same as on our planet is so astronomical that it eclipses the size of the universe, which is incredible. That being said, it is entirely possible, probable in fact, that there is another planet with humanoid creatures on it. Just think. The characteristics given to humans are necessary for civilized life, and given the age of the universe, other planets are bound to have life advanced enough to have evolved to that stage.
We are mostly water, therefore our faces are made to be able to take in more water than, say, a dog, who laps water as we sip. Take solids as another example. We have evolved hands with poseable thumbs to hold on to things. And gases are necessary to maintain an atmosphere, which would support life in the first place. This is only evidence from the states of matter, which, as far as we know (which doesn't say much seeing as we only have information about 5% of the universe and extremely limited information at that, not to mention it is ever-expanding) are universal.
For life to be sustained, there is a specific range the planet must be within to a central star, which provides the energy for all living thing to function (except some deep sea creatures, but that involves other elements that are necessary and that is a different argument) so there would be exposure to that star. That is why we have evolved upright stances, as to avoid the brunt of the suns rays. All evidence points to the probability that there is another planet, if not an infinite number of planets, that have life similar to earth's.

There is no limit to the universe, however, there is a "visible limit" from our perspective. We have more than six billion people on Earth, and yet no two individuals are alike, each have different personalities, interest, dreams etc...
To have another planet just like the Earth elsewhere in the universe is highly unlikely. No ones know for sure anyway!

humans have been wondering about that for hundreds of years. There is certain to be planets of similar size to earth out there in the vastness of the universe but the chances of another planet, just like earth and a a species identical to humans is highly unlikely in my opinion. The human brain is probably the most developed brain in existence.

Deffienetly , it is hard for us to imagine becasue we are used to limits but in the universe there is no limit to what it expands. So technically theres an infinite amount of planets with life just like ares(not the same but in differnet forms). Maybe they have taken in a different form, but i do guarentee there living forms wondering if there are others like us out there. Heck there are proabbly life forms so advanced than us they contact each other through different galaxies. Its really somehting to think about

Yes there can be. If you think about it and take the 5 closest galaxies and estimate there to be 400,000,000 in each galaxy. That would be 2,000,000,000 billion stars to search thru and the odds that just one of those planets developed mammals just like ours are pretty good. They may have evolved to humans just like us or perhaps the Neanderthals were the species to survive instead of us? Who knows? But the possibility is out there.

good imaginative thinking...however, life here on earth evolved according to specific events and environmental changes, so i cannot see how another planet would be EXACTLY like earth much less have the same sorts of life forms. dont you think it would be much cooler if everything that was living was different instead of the same?????

This hypothesis has been brought up in science fiction very frequently: planets that look just like our world, with similar manifestations of lifeforms.
Both in our "own" universe, or in "parallel" universes.
We can't really know it, before we actually find out.

The factor is Time.
yes their probably is more worlds but because time does not exist the worlds may have already existed or will in the future.
Mankind is relatively young to the universe.
Time exist only as measurement.

OF COURSE! you kno how many trillions of galaxies there are outt there? from ONE picture frrom our galaxy out into space...you can only count SO MANY! so out of those trillions of gallaxies w/ hundred maybe THOUSANDS, of solar systems...there's just GOTTA be another planet out there w/ life or suitable conditions! the only Person/Holy Spirit out there that knows about it sofar is God. and who knows?! , maybe he just made ONE special planet for us, maybe its temporarly and he'll tell some1 to guide us somewhere else!
