and how many still exist , where can you find them, and does any agencies doing something to prevent them from extinction? like cloning them?

Sure there are, here's an example of a famous lungfish

Lungfish are still native to Africa, South America and Australia. They've been on Schedule 1 of the Endangered Species list since 1993.
