The volume of a triangular prism is defined by:
Area of base x height

So,

V=1/2lwh

In words,

Volume=1/2 x length x width x height

where 1/2lw is the area of the base

The volume of a triangular prism is the area of the triangular end times the length of the prism. Find the area of the end by using the formula 1/2bh, where b is the base length of the triangle and h is its height. Then multiply your answer by the length of the prism.
