otep is nothing like evanescence they are two very different genres. lacuna coil is very similar to evanescence though . the only other band i can think of right now as a comparison is flyleaf only because they have a female vocalist and are more in the evanescence genre.

I'd recommend Nightwish for sure, and I guess you might like Lacuna Coil... they're compared to Evanescence so much, and I really don't know why.
