The tongue is often claimed to be the strongest muscle relative to its size, which is not what I believe the questioner even meant. In any case, there is no evidence that this is true, and the tongue is actually made up of 16 muscles.
Depending on your definition, better candidates are:
1. The quadriceps (front of the thigh) or gluteus maximus (you know, like J Lo). They are the largest muscles and can therefore directly exert the most force.
2. The masseter, which is the muscle you use to bite with. Through mechanical advantage, it can exert the most force of any muscle in the body (much greater than the quads and butt).
3. The uterus (although not everybody has one of those). It has short muscle fibres, and may be the strongest muscle by weight.

Ok, I don't see how it could be he tongue, so me I'll have to say my leg strength is good. Not too much upper body strength, though. Basketball for 5 years helps build leg muscle.

it changes from person to person based on what they excercise and strengthen. if your asking typically which muscle is the strongest then i'd say mens are biceps because they tend to develope that more and women is the biceps femoris (hamstring) because they tend to run to get fit.
