Algebraic Expression...

A = L*W

First: replace/substitute the numbers with the corresponding variables.

229.2 = (19.1)*W
229.2 = 19.1W
Or, 19.1W = 229.2

Sec: isolate the "w" variable on one side (left) - divide both sides by 19.1 (when you move a term to the opposite side, always use the opposite sign).

(19.1W)/19.1 = (229.2)/19.1
W = (229.2)/19.1
W = 12

The width is 12 meters
