Of course it's NOT weird!

I'm around the same age, and I've never had one and I don't plan on it, at least not for a LONG time! I have better things to worry about!

Society puts way too much pressure on having a boyfriend/girlfriend at too young of an age. I'm not saying 14 is young, it's just NOT an age where you need that kind of pressure.

You're not going to get married anytime soon, so why worry with it? Really. Why mess with dating, etc., when you don't have to? It just causes heartbreak and stress that you don't have to/need to have.

It's great to be friends with guys, but don't feel like you have to be in a "relationship" or anything to be "normal," even if that's what the world tells you.

I think it's more "normal," and definitely better for you, to not worry about it!

Besides, like I said, there are much more important things to focus on in life instead of daydreaming about some (weird weird weird) boy.

That's just my opinion.
But know that you are NOT weird! :)

I don't think it's weird, in fact I think having a boyfriend is a waste of time at that age. I wish I didn't have a boyfriend until I was in college, because relationships are so immature at that age. I'm with my boyfriend now and I know if I dated him when I was 14 or still in high school I would've messed it all up. I think when you are out of high school you have a better sense of what is right and wrong, so you can take care of yourself better when you are around a guy.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't have a boyfriend at all, if you meet a nice guy then go for it, but don't go looking for one or advertising yourself out there, because you'll be asking for drama. Just let the good great guys come to you. At that age you wanna date someone you trust not some random guy that you just met. I never know what might happen if you do that.

Hope I helped :D

Not at all. It might be that boys your age find you a little bit intimidating because you seem to have it more together than they do. I have to tell you that I have been teaching college for years, and I've always been amazed that the brightest, most attractive, most accomplished young women are always complaining that they can't find a boyfriend (or worse, they are dating men older than their fathers), while the ones with engagement rings on their fingers always seem to be the mousiest, least appealing of the lot - certainly not those whom you would think anyone would be running after!

The good thing about your situation is that when you do find a boy you like and who likes you, you will have a better sense of what you want and you will be less likely to be pushed around because you were too young to handle it.

Not at all. It's all about when you and the boys are ready for this kind of relationship. Seeming to be "hard to get" is not all that bad. My grand daughters did not have boyfriends until they were 15. Be patient. The part of your life in which this will no longer be a problem is a lot more than 14 years.

It is not weird, at 14 years of age, not to have a boyfriend. You should never do anything that makes you uncomfortable. Simply because society may deem it imperative that you have a boyfriend at this age, don't ever make any decision, like this, without first thinking it through. Right now, focus on your future career. You have the rest of your life to date & find the love of your life. Now is for you! Take care of you first, then the rest will fall into place.

No, it's not weird, but I wondered the same thing at your age. And for some reason, it was always worse at Valentine's Day. I think a lot of girls have boyfriends just to have one. That's a bad reason and causes all kinds of issues. I've often heard it said that the best time to find a boyfriend is when you've deciced you're OK without one.

I'm a 14 year old who's never had a boyfriend, and pretty soon I'll be a 15 year old whose never had a boyfriend. I guess we are kinda weird, but it's not like we're old maids! I don't get it also, I mean, I'm reletively pretty and not a school outcast.

Just think you have a life ahead of you. At 14 you still have not decided what direction in life you wait to take. And boys are still maturing at that age. Keep working on a good education and find one when your at college who will stand up and be a man in action by taking care and respecting you.

If you chose to be single then that cool too.

Caring I mean listening to your opinion and feelings
giving you the freedom to work.
and making you feel welcome when you see him.
And been honest and agreeing to disagree.
not been a control freck
