None of these MYTHS are true! The female cant do anything to change or determine the sex because it depends on the males SPERM! Sorry, but you can not choose the sex of your baby. It all depends on which little spremy gets to your egg first. The sperm determines the sex of the baby because the egg passes one of the XX gametes and the sperm will pass either X or Y. X for female and Y for male. Just hope the correct spermy gets to your egg. There is nothing you can do to control his sperm this closely. Sorry!

If you have sex a few days before you ovulate you have a better chance of conceiving a girl because girl sperms live longer than boy sperms. So have sex 2 or 3 days before you ovulate, and not close to ovulation time because boy sperms are faster then. I tried that with my first one and my second one too. I think it really works. Good luck! I'm having my second one in about a week. It' a girl!

I have 5 sisters and out of all of them there is only 1 girl and the rest are boys, 6 of them. I have a 5 yr old boy and desperately wanted a girl. I read "How to chhose the sex of your baby" by Landrum B Shettles.MD Phd, from front to back. And fate or not I have a beatiful 21month old GIRL. Good Luck.

it is my firm opinion that the more sex you have, the more likely you are to have a girl. with my first child, I was newly married, was a virgin to begin with, and was absolutely scared. not having much sex. it was a boy. later, when I conceived my second, I was enjoying it a lot more, therefore having a lot more. it was a girl. my sister too. like rabbits they were with the first, and had mellowed out for the second two. she has a girl followed by two boys. and my mother believes this also, because she says it was that way with all of her children, and has predicted the sex of each grandchild based on her children's sexual patterns. it is said this is because sperm counts are diminished the more sex you have, and a man's body has to fight to keep up. you can choose not to believe it, but I know which technique I'll be using when it's time for my next baby boy.

It's not a technique you can do that can provide you with either or. And contrary to many beliefs they're are new studies that have come out that say the opposite as to who really decides the sex of a baby. Supposedly it's not the man, it's the woman. Every woman has estrogen and testorone in her body. It depends on which chemical is actually higher at the time of concivement that determines the sex of the baby. So, basically it's just a crap shoot. Good luck though.

it is actually the mens sperm that is responsible for the out come boy/girl but if you have sex less often the chances of getting a girl are slightly higher , if you have sex more often the chances of a boy are higher, i know my self my partner and i did it like rabbits lol we got pregnant with a boy 2nd time round we did it less and we got a girl and the 3rd time round we did it less also and we had another girl but it is to say that every one is different and this may work or may not work for you good luck in trying .

I cant help you out much, but I do know my BIL has 5 girls with his partner and they enjoy the horozontal tango quite a lot....
My father also had 4 girls and was also fond of dancing in the sheets so to speak, so perhaps daily sex is good...

As for postitioning... I do believe "doggy" helps with a boy... so dont do that position lol...
Goodluck!!

I agree with DeAnna. Unfortunately for the both of you though, while the overall chances of boy or girl in the general population is 50%, the more of one sex that a man fathers the more likely he is to continue fathering that same sex of baby (just the way he's genetically programmed produces more of one sex sperm).

The method in helping one to concieve a specific gender is called the Shettle's Method.

This method claims that sperm carrying the female chromosone are slower than the sperm carrying the male chromosone. For this reason, it is suggested to not having sex immediately before ovulation will help you concieve a girl. Sex immediately prior ovulation will help you concieve a boy.
