It's been my theory from the beginning that no one reads them and they are not even "scanned" to see if the content is in violation of community guidelines or not. The report comes in electronically, the information is then copied, tag with "Is in violation of the community guidelines" and is sent out.
I've never seen an explanation as to "why" it was in violation, just that it was.And when you challange you get the same "We are looking into it" e-mail. I have gotten more than one and they all read exactly the same.

No, they do not read them. I have received violations and responded to them. Yahoo has yet to respond to me. I think Yahoo should consider hiring people to investigate the complaints about false complaints. Unfortunately they do not seem to have an interest in that.
I was violated for the following...
Deleted Question: Coming over?
Question Details: Thank you for stopping in. Come on here and have a seat. Would you like some c(_) coffee, \_/ tea, a @ cinnamon roll or a [|] sandwich?
I still do not know what was wrong with it. I had 23 replies when the question was pulled.
You can complain all you want. The secret reporters are going to continue to tattle and complain. I think you should be allowed to see who complained about you.
I can assure you if you did something bad enough for me to want to report you. I wouldn't have a problem with you knowing I was going to do it or did it.
The tattletales forget, some things are taken out of context when in text. We are all adults here and some act more so then others. If I want my bathroom pass withheld and assigned seats, I will enroll in head-start. I am an adult and would like to think if someone didn't like my question they would close it out OR at least have the decency to tell me before tattling to the automated system.
I wish anyone that is trying to change the system the best of luck. Read my answer fast and save it if you like it. It will undoubtedly be removed.

No, I think it's probably all automatic. Think of how many violation notices people give every day. They wouldn't have time to read all of them, but that's not good because I've gotten a notice when I haven't done or said anything against the community guidlines (which I actually did read once). I'm sure it was just when some wimp didn't agree with what I said and couldn't handle it, so they reported me.

i don't think so, once i got reported, and you know how 'customer care' encourages you to send them an email if you think your question was reported in error? well i did that, and i actually did get an email from them, asking for my user name so that they could appartently look into it... so i did... that was several months ago and i haven't recieved any more emails... so no, i think they get too many violation reports and dont have time to check them all... :)

Don't know if they read them all, I have appealed violations and had a couple rescinded. Usually trolls or dweebs report a good answer.

no, they don't, is on automatic mode. no human reads them. which it sucks big time. i got a violation notice and my answer deleted, because the asker didn't like the fact that i point out to her (besides answering her question) to learn to spell or to click on the "check spelling". what ever. I'm fighting it.
