I broke my 4th toe (next to the pinkie) by falling on a flight of stairs while wearing flipflops AND under the influence. I missed the step and my shoe came off as my foot hit the next 3 steps. I didn't let it heal (I danced on it in school) and the middle bone I guess completely broke in half. I ended up having to get surgery and wear an orthopedic boot, not to mention go to physical therapy AND not graduate because I didn't fill the requirements for dance class credits (I went to college for musical theater). So moral of the story is: Don't be dumb like Jess. Don't run up stairs in flip flops. And don't keep drinking after you hurt yourself, assuming the pain will go away. It will be worse in the morning. :-P

Even though I have totalled 3 cars in my life and am a world class klutz...the only thing I can actually remember breaking was one of my toes - on the right foot, I believe it was the one next to the pinky toe. I had been out late with friends the night before and when I got home in the a.m., I was running around my apartment like a madwoman trying to find my credit card and get my computer started up so I could order concert tickets the minute they went on sale (it was my favorite band). My best friend called as I was running around and somehow I ran smack into the divider between my living room and kitchen. OMG the pain! And I was going to a baseball game that night...filled with little kids running around...I was a total baby!

I broke my clavicle when I was 6 years old. I was wrestling with another kid in the park and I accidentally hit my collar bone on a treestump. After the incident I had to wear something called a figure 8 brace which looks like a thickly padded pair of suspenders. I had to wear it for a month and I absolutely hated it. What was most painful was getting up from lying down.

I was playing fullback in a football game, the ball was handed to me, I ran throw the line and a linebaker grabbed my leg. I was trying to break free then I had people jump on me. Everyone heard it pop on the football field. The leg broke and was limp I pulled out of the pile with my hands and rode a strecher in an ambulance to the hiospital where the Dr. put a titanium rod threw the bone and 2 pins to secure it. Several cheerleaders came to visit and I was a new freshman at the time so it did have its advantage.

Only a broken nose for me. However my husband and our daughter, (when she was 6) both broke their wrists at a school roller skating party. My daughter did hers first, and then 5 minutes later my husband. Same bone, same side. They both came out of emergency sporting identical casts.
My son broke his femur in a head-on car accident 3 yrs ago. He had 6 surgeries & 2 non-unions.
19 months ago my daughter got thrown from a car when it rolled. She broke her neck in 2 places, pelvis in 2 places.
We've also had 2 broken hands, a broken shoulder & broken hip. Forgot the fractured skull

A.T.V crash. holy sh*t it was scary!!! ok so i have a house in the pocanoes and my and my lil sis (6yrs) were on r atv that says u cant ride under 16 and we both are! ok so she was sitting in front of me and she turned her head and her body also turned. my hands were around her body holding onto the handel bars and when she turned so did the bars. we were heading for this steep drop off and we were surley gonna die. i panicked and insted of brakin i jearked the handel the other way thus making the atv with us on it turn to fast. it rolled over on top of us. my sister got thrown off and i was on the ground next to it. it managed to do a whole 360degree turn. now i thought she was dead since her helmet was off and she was still on the ground. i was so scared i ran over to her not realising the searing pain in my leg untill she got up saying omg missy are u ok! (she was ok) i looked down and there was a gash in my leg! the spiky foot pedal that u put ur feel on made a huge gash!! i fell to the ground finally realizing the pain!! i rushed to the hospital and it was broken...so was the atv! nvr gonna ride them again!!
also thet week b4 that we werent wearing helmets, like we diddnt own them but thank god we got them when we did!!!
