A gay person marries someone of his/her/its own gender in Massachusetts although the person is a resident of a state that does not believe in gay marriage, then dies. The "spouse" finds out that law [in that state] requires that 50% of the desceased's assets go to the spouse, and claims half of what the stiff has in the bank. The departed's immediate family wants it all for themselves. No will was written. Who gets the money?
