Basically my point is to expose how so many white people don't realize the daily struggle blacks go through everyday. It is amazing how life changing an experience lived in someone else's shoes can be.

If you say white why? What differences do blacks have that you don't have that would cause you to prefer to be white?
Most of you talk about how good some blacks have it, wouldn't you want to be black then?

To all that view this page, view the true identity of america.
Black people werent even considered people when America was born, even though we built it.
Had to pass a civil rights act 100 years after slavery so that black people could vote.
Had to enforce affirmative action so black people could work.
But everything is equal now. Right? Sure.
Read the views on this page and you can see America's past has doomed america's future.
And i love my blackness (it has many advantages)...i just wish I was a little bit taller ;-)

Well since i am mixed i would rather keep the black side instead of the white side...b/c my black side of the family are loving and caring about both of my parents who are still together in this lil country where whites dominate and my father's people dont claim us they think its a sin to be with black people, they look at us like we are all animals... so i hate the fact that they are even trying to be back in our lives, because we dont need them... if they are only there to break us down... i would like to be a regular middle class...black person then to be some rich snobby white person or some poor white trash that insults every black person they see... only because of color when we've all came from the same place

I would rather be black. You never have to worry about a tan. You have people move out of your way. People don't talk shiznit to you. You don't get chastized for bein' a good dancer. You can where slammin' clothes (and not get oggled at). You get a pick of schools, jobs, and other stuff (if you earned it). And you get to be mad at nothin' and get away with it. I could just be me and not have to worry about societies views of who I should be.
It is ridiculous....we did all come from the same place.
I just read some other answers. I am ashamed of all the stuff my possible ancestors may have done; murder masses, stealing, pilaging (sp?), claiming things clearly not theirs, owning--selling--beating other human beings, making others do work for them 'cause they were too weak and lazy....not cool stuff!
I am proud to me--not a color!

Yep, utterly heart breaking but your sob story isn't going to change me to want to be a black guy. What is wrong with whites, its bad enough in like 100 years there will hardly be any more of us.
I'm proud to be white. I am proud of the history of my people. I prefer being with my people. I'm so sorry I'm white hey!!! And I'd rather be who I am now than change and live maybe a couple more years! Just because you have racial issues doesn't mean we all do.
And frankly I'm getting sick 'n tired of you damn liberals hacking on whites!

Would I much rather be a member of a race which has an average IQ of 80, and has contributed nothing of value to civilization? Or be a member of a race which has an average IQ of 100 and has invented practically everything we value in today's society? Stupid question, I'd much rather be white.

If I was born black, then I'd be proud to be black....but I was born white and I don't give a shiit, I'm happy with who I am
If you asked me this question in 1920, I'd answer "white"...but since you 'axed' me in 2007, I'll say it don't matter - I'd just be happier if I was born into a family that had more resources to hook me up through college......like I'd rather be Rev Run's kid (and be black) and have access to his resources versus Jimmy Jo Billy Bob Earl Thorton Jr. and Ellie Mae's kid (and be white) and grow up in the trailer park
