Pretty much all my cars are on cardboard. Are they more valuable on cardboard or broken out of the cardboard? I am open to any suggestions.

Have you ever been to a model train show? Make a city with streets, garages, houses, train crossings, mountains, trees, and of course people, etc. Make it look like your town. Include lights and moving parts. Or,depending on the ages of the cars, go retro with a drive in theater and a drive in restaurant, like American Graffiti.
Not breaking them out of the cardboard, you can find a cap rack, like for baseball caps and hang them on the wall. Good Luck.

I really think it's hard to say if their more valuable on the backing or off. Having watched Antiques Roadshow, I know most of the appraisers would probably tell you opening the package devalues them. But there have been some who actually say the fact that they've been played with can at times help to make a toy more valuable. Don't know how true that really is, but I myself tend to think it's better to know it's been played with.

If you've got an HO scale train, then your Hot Wheels would be a good size for setting up a display with the train. You could also get a display case and create a diorama background, placing it and a car, or several, in the case.

I've got a collection of Williams F1 Hot Wheel cars...

I put them up on a glass shelf without the cardboard box.

I have lots of them still on the cards. I don't think they are really valuable so I'll check them out over the next 5 years or so and see if I want to display them, or give them to my grandkids.

I do have some on display though. I have a lineup of "Best" football figures, and in front of each one is a hot wheels car. Everyone who sees it thinks it''s neat. I also have small headliners baseball figures with hot wheels around them.

Have fun with your cars and remember one rule. As you get older, don't give away or sell those you really like because later in life you'll just buy them again.

hang them with pride.

I would leave the more valuable ones on the cards. The ones that aren't as valuable, hell, open em up man. Display what you got, I know I do with my figures.

as quickly as upon a time i grow to be a intense collector of classic stringed gadgets. apart from pianos. I had over 80 and once I chop up up from my husband and then company companion - my series without warning diminished right down to around 30 & via the time i spotted plenty grow to be lacking. i ultimately threw interior the towel and offered off my last products to a distinctive intense collector at a techniques under I could desire to have been able to sell them for if I nevertheless had the unique instruments with respective serial numbers of their entirety and nevertheless interior the unique situations. such somewhat a number of the unique situations grew to become out to be empty once I opened them up for the sale. only 2 human beings had the important and the understanding. My estranged husband and my new boyfriend. I ultimately think of they the two had some thing to do with the robbery. I in no way could desire to show it and years of vigilant and passionate gathering got here to a crashing halt for me. I in no way recovered financially or emotionally from my loss. i think of it grow to be in basic terms as heartbreaking because of the fact the dissolution of my marriage and the shortcoming of my company. yet, i assume it grew to become out to be for the terrific because of the fact I see my ex husband and his collections have the look and sense of a hoarder. each and every room of his abode and company are crammed to the rafters with plenty stuff that a guy or woman can not walk without touching some thing or knocking it to the floor in the event that they don't seem to be careful. I concern my our person baby. while her father dies, she would be left together with his mess of stuff and there's a competent possibility that maximum of it is going to finally end up stolen or broken into mismatched instruments while human beings without gathering experience will understand what section is going to which musical gadgets. I in no way prefer to have great collections of things lower back because of the fact it only attracts the criminal element and if I did, i could could desire to show them over to the state once I die. If i could desire to have sufficient money to maintain paying for, there is an extremely good possibility that i could have a team of stuff that i don't prefer in my existence. i'm just about happy that i'm adverse now!
