YES!!! If the baby is growing anywhere other than the uterus, it is called an ectopic pregnancy. It can be fatal if left untreated!

Call your doctor IMMEDIATELY!!! Generally, in an ectopic pregnancy, the embryo implants in the fallopian tubes (hence the name "tubal pregnancy.") If it's untreated, the tube will eventually rupture, which can, even if you survive, cause complications in future pregnancies.

Signs are:
-Sharp, crampy pain with tenderness, usually in the lower abdomen, starting on one side then possibly radiating throughout the abdomen. Pain may worsen on straining of bowels, coughing, or moving. If rupture occurs, pain becomes very sharp and steady for a short time before diffusing throughout the pelvic region
-Brown vaginal spotting or light bleeding (intermittent or continuous), which may precede pain by days or weeks; sometimes, there is no bleeding unless the tube ruptures
-Heavy vaginal bleeding if rupture occurs
-Nausea and vomiting (in about 25 to 50% of women); this may be difficult to distinguish from morning sickness
-Dizziness or weakness, in some women. If the tube ruptures, weak pulse, clammy skin, and fainting are common
-Shoulder pain (referred from the pelvis) in some women
-Feeling of rectal pressure in some women

The doctor may need to do a laparoscopy to make sure. This can also help them to remove the pregnancy from the tube.

My cousin recently had an ectopic pregnancy. She noticed the symptoms I listed, and had an ultrasound. She was also told that her uterus was empty. They operated, and managed to save her life; 3/4 of her left fallopian tube was destroyed. If she had waited another day, they said, she would have died. She's been very lucky; she's pregnant again, due in September.

Don't wait. Call your doctor IMMEDIATELY. The techs already should have!!!!

If this is true they would of said something to you right then and there. A baby cannot survive out of the uterus. I find it hard to believe nothing was said to you

YES! IF YOUR BABY IS 'OUT OF THE UTERUS' THEN IT'S AN ABNORMAL PREGNANCY & THE BABY CAN'T SURVIVE TO FULL TERM OUTSIDE THE UTERUS. i'M SO SORRY...BUT THE BABY WILL PROBABLY MISCARRY OR THE DOCTOR'S WILL REMOVE IT BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE MAJOR DAMGE TO YOU IF THE BABY GETS TOO BIG.

Yes, your baby needs to be in the uterus to survive, I would think they would have explained this to you.

I would say it's a time to worry, the doctor should have told you more and did more tests. Make a different apt. with someone else for a second opinion! ASAP!

Oh my God - I can't believe they let you leave the hospital. Your baby needs to be INSIDE the uterus to survive.

I am so sorry to hear this. Please go and see your Doctor.

That makes no sense. So they let you leave?!! You shouldn't be having a baby if you can't spell pregnant correctly.
