Those little guys in red suits and pitch forks would be a 'dead' give away!
Other than that, from all accounts of those heading off that way, but then indecisively heading back to the living, I'd expect floating over my body, hearing Dr. McCoy say "He's dead, Jim" followed by a tunnel, bright white light and then, if I didn't wake up in a hospital room... the great beyond. Hopefully with my maker.
Peace

You wouldn't know that you were dead. When you die everything just kinda stops, including your brain. So pretty much you wouldn't even be able to process that you were dead. Like if you faint, you wouldn't know that you fainted until someone told you. If you died, you would never know because you'd never wake up for someone to tell you.

I can only imagine. I believe you pass from death to life and death in itself is the key that opens the palace of eternity. You will have limitless knowledge, you will surpass any existence you have experienced here. Again, I can only imagine. It will be awesome! Oh, and you won't have to ask anyone, you will know.

You wouldn't. You will remember your life, and possibly the moment just before death, when you stand up at your resurrection, like you sleep without dreaming and stand up when you awake.

You wouldn't know because you would be dead. You would no longer have consciousness. You would be as inert as a coffee table.

You would not know, by definition (of the word 'dead'). This is why Bertrand Russell said he did not fear death - simply because, when the time came, he would know nothing about it.

You would feel a certain wait lifted from you. You will feel.....feel........free. FREEDOM. You would feel a certain happiness that you have never understood before. You would feel uncomprehensively carefree. You will listen to small sounds more carefully.
