Powell should have run himself as an independent several years ago. Now, he's tainted by the Iraq war. Too bad--I think he's a great man who could have done a decent job in the Oval Office.

Powell would've been a great Republican candidate - before Iraq, if he'd ever wanted the job. A Thompson/Powell ticket would be worth voting for just to get him within a heartbeat of the oval office. Powell/anybody, would be even better. But it's not going to happen. He doesn't want the job, and the Iraq debacle would reflect badly on him, even if he did.

I don't know anyhting about Thompson, but the Powell addition is enough to catch my eye, and give this ticket equal investigation to the others.

Powell lost ALL CREDIBILITY for not speaking out about the WMD lies.
Thompson lost all credibility by staying in the GOP.

would be nice,but ...not gonna happen...thompson should be able to get the nomination,,,to me none of the other nominees have any sort of "presence" to be a leader,,,thompson does... how about lil condi by his side..???
