Her ratings have been absolutely dismal. Last week, she averaged less than 6 million viewers a night. NBC averaged 7.2 million, and ABC averaged 7.8 million. The week before, ABC News averaged 2 million more viewers per night than CBS.

Should she be replaced? If so, by who?

Yes, she should be replaced; CBS made a bad decision putting Katie in the Anchor seat by herself and by adding more entertainment that replaced real news ( her first big scoop was the Vanity Fair cover of TomKat with their baby ! ). I also think she is misplaced as a contributor to 60 Minutes.

i do no longer see Charlie Gibson going everywhere. His unique predecessor, Peter Jennings, worked very just about up till his death. he's worked all his existence to get to the place he his immediately, so why ought to he end whilst he turns 70? As for Katie Couric, i do no longer watch NBC night information, so i could no no longer something approximately the different anchors interior the morning or night.

Does it really matter? She is irrelevant, but so is network news. People of my generation are turning away from it as a news source and those younger than me have never relied on it as a news source. Through their obvious Liberal bias and non-news fluff pieces they have become just another TV show, not journalism. I for one say it's breathing it's last gasps of life and good riddance (they are little more that much rakers and traitors).

A big part is many people are turning the TV off ! She's not a problem. It's the lies she's either tricked or forced to say ! She would certainly tell the truth IF she knew what it was !

Probably should replace her with actual journalist. She really isn't journalist. Just a smiley face.
