I'm not trying to imply that all humans are evil, I just wonder if there's anything out there that can be evil besides a human.
And if so, would it be things like hard synthetic drugs and the a-bomb? As in, things that require direct human activation?
Or would it be things like predators and storms? Remember, I don't mean tough or inconvenient or challenging or even dangerous. I mean malevolently, odiously evil.

To make this question worse, I'm a philologist (aspiring linguist). And to make it at the same time simpler yet more difficult, no extensive semantics please; remember the proverb "Wooden knife in the blacksmith's house".

BTW If you are aware of any non-human sentient persons that mainstream empirical science does not recognize, be they animal or spirit -- they don't count as a "best" answer.
I happen to believe in God and something like a Satan, but this question isn't meant to cover them. Just things we all can see.

Hi. Glad to give you my suggestion. This depends largely on personal beliefs and views.

Since I'm solidly Biblical in my beliefs, I very much believe in Satan and demons - those are literal non-human creatures (both spiritual and physical). On occasion I've run across these beings in physical form as well, but its rather uncommon and most don't experience it.

I'd also add--animals (including predators) and perhaps even plants-- also have potential to be 'evil' because they are affected by man's fall (man was put in charge of animals and he fell.) How much weather is affected is a good question--but it is affected by man.

I believe things created by humans can be evil. Example--art that is clearly depicting evil--or language that is clearly evil, or actions that are clearly evil..including violent actions or warfare.

Granted, if you don't buy into the Bible at all--my answer is not much use to you. But it is very well thought out based on years of personal experience--and solid Biblical evidence.

The Bible definitely paints the world as an evil place, in many regards.

From my perspective only humans have the intelligence to know good from evil, thus making them capable of choosing evil. When a cat tortures a dieing bird he is just being a cat.

But I wonder if a super intelligent race landed on earth if they would just see us as the most intelligent animal on the planet. So below them that we seem close to the intellegence of the ape or dolphin to them. And being so unintelligent incapable of evil as they define it. Just being the hairless killer apes we were born to be.

:Only humans create evil and can do evil with the things they make, drugs wouldn't be evil if no one abused them or suffered from those who used them, bombs and bullets wouldn't fire themselves that's it. My dog wouldn't fire a bomb; all she wants to do is get petted, sleep, play, eat,go for a walk..animals and plants don't have the capacity to be evil..

Evil is a subjective term so you can apply it to what ever you want.
