I just don't know how to pack them, should I use bubble wrap, packing peanuts or will chains and hooks work best? Any suggestions?

Liquor boxes and Cello tape.... they'll think they're on holiday.

First you need to leave out some post it notes and ask them if they want to come along. If not, I'm afraid you will just have to purchase some new ones when you get back home.

Why bring them along? Upgrade to new ones with your new house. Unless, of course, you see them as pet. Then use traveling cages for pets.
