Things seem follow a pattern which we are all a part of, we age physically, and mentally we change throuhout our life collecting experiences, creating and building ourselves a life.
What does it mean to age, to live in the present while being aware of the future and remebering the past, while the present being what seems the only thing thats real? where is the past now?and the future?where do these two times go? and finally is the present the only present, the only thing thats real?
sorry, english is not my mother toung.

Interesting question!
There are many theories. So many, in fact, that to properly explain them all would take nearly a day (but then again, what is a day?). Unfortunately, I am privy to only a few.
The theory I find most curious is the one that postulates that all moments in time simultaneously exist as part of a single instance. In this theory it is us - not time - that moves. That is, we "jump" from moment to moment. There is as many "yous" are there are moments. One "you" for each moment. The same goes for everything else in the universe.
As if this wasn't complicated enough, things get even more hairy when you add in the idea of free will (If you believe in destiny, things are a little simpler). Each moment provides you with a number of choices. Every choice leads to a different moment. Therefore time can be seen as an intricate web of moments (of nearly infinite size) in which some moments are parallel to another. Most choices in life are very small (e.g. what color of shirt to wear) and ultimately have a negligible effect on to you are as a person. Others are very large and lead to terribly different ends.
Still with me? Good!
While this theory is quite difficult to swallow and not necessarily 100% correct, it goes a long ways in explaining things. Many books (some fiction, some not) appear to subconsciously assume a variation of this idea.
As fun as it is to come up with theories of time, the TRUE nature of time can only be known and understood by someone entirely outside the fabric of time. To date, only God fits that description (and he raises a whole gaggle of new questions).

One thing I shall answer. Does your brains seem to bubble when you ask this question? Let me tell you why. The brain cells are made for certain things that are placed into your memory. For example...on a test. You know that you know the answer, but you can't really find it. Why? Because you're thinking to hard. Could that also be the answer to TIME? Maybe. Let's take it 2 ways. Perspecitvical and Logical.
PERSPECTIVICAL: The people who believe in God might have tough time believing in time. Because they might believe(I DO) that God has been around forever. Than how long is that forever? In this perspectivical way, if you want my opinion, man...Albert Einstein would have been pulling his hair out trying to figure out time. Eh....but here...I won't do that. Who invented time? The human race. Did God? No...so if the human race invented it, it connects whatever they feel like to it to help them understand it. Only if we could meet God. We'd find out. And when we do...well, we can't really tell HUMANS.
LOGICAL/SCIENTIFICAL: Well, a milligyloplex is the smallest form of a second. (Scientific word meaning microsecond.) Now, every time a microsecond passes...well how can that be the present? It's the past then right. Because it has passed. Then comes the future..., every time a microsecond arrives there is no future, it is turned to the present, which in another microsecond is turned to the past. So, believidly....the past is the only thing that does exist. I mean come on.....how many experiments can one do before they go crazy?
ADVICE: I suggest that you do that fuss over these things. You're not alone in not knowing about it. For one does not even no the meaning of infinity. Of after the universe. Of ht creating of the universe. It's all something too big to fit into a human's brain. Maybe you can ask God when you meet him. I'm sure He'll tell you!
HOPE THIS HELPED! FROM CAMEO DILAIN.

T - The
I - Incremental
M - Measurement (of)
E - Eternity
What you are seeing is life in action. Life is not static but dynamic.
The past is the present you see moving by you as you drive down the road of life. The past is a distant memory that only lives in the mind.
The present is you living right now in the moment. Awareness of the present IS living in the moment.
The future is what you choose to create by your present actions or inactions.
The past is an illusion.
The present is invisible.
The future doesn't exist.
The past and the future simultaneously exists in the present.

Find a copy of Aristotle on Physics book III for a classic discussion of time. Then try A Short History of Time by Steven Hawking.

space and time are the same. so life is moving through space. like a road with ever changing scenery. you have a good view of where you are now. you can take a good look around at your surroundings. the road ahead is vague. you can make out some shapes but nothing is certain. behind you is the same vague shapes and figures. only your impression is lasting. it is that, that changes us and our view of the road ahead. our veiwpoint is all that is real.

Walk outside. Breathe in. Go back inside. Grab a pen and paper and write down what you experienced. THen, read it tommorrow and see if you are just as bored as you were yesterday. If so, go to California, and live on the beach.

Get a copy of St. Augustine's "Confessions"-- he has a lengthy discourse on time in Book 11 that might provide some illumination in regards to your inquiry.

Because nothingness is the essence of things Time is the expression of nothing. All is empty and transparent and time is past by the time we are aware of it. Time is the great 'almost' that sounds out emptiness by saying "It is..... NOT."

We are temporal, spatial being and our concept of time is corruption of the notion of eternity. Yesterday is gone tomorrow is never here, there is only the eternal now.
