How tall are you, or more importantly, what's your reach? Just keep jumping and trying to grab the rim. Maybe ask your gym teacher for some lifts/exercises that will develop explosiveness. Once you can touch the rim you're really close to dunking. I would also try, once you can reach the rim, dunking a tennis ball, then a volleyball (which hopefully you can palm), and once you can dunk a volleyball a basketball isn't far behind. Just keep jumping.

Well if you are not going to invest in the strength shoes (which is the best way to go) then you gotta shock (overwork) your calves and get them to grow. You can do jump roping, running, toe raises or anything to get a burn and when you finish whatever you decide to do ice your calves down for about 20 min and then stretch them right after you workout. The ice can be used on any muscle group, it helps speed the repair time and makes them grow a lot faster. Im 5 foot 10 and I can dunk!

Run stairs for 3 months 3 days a week (alternate days) for 30 minutes at a time.

On the other days, do sit-ups, and push-ups, and deep-knee bends for 30 minutes. Gradually increase this until you can do 30 minutes iof each by month 6.

Then, dunk away..or at the very least you will be able to shoot
with greater range.

squats w/ light weight and high reps, standing calf raises,up and downs(get a box or something 1.5 to 2 ft. tall and jump up and down for high reps) a.d get a waited vest, and play in it . carefull with vest though wou dont want to tweak a knee. DO NOT use ankle weights.lastly i started with a tennis ball, then a volleyball, then a basketball. a good workout is to start t try and dunk a tennis ball over and over--then move up

im a litlle taller than you and can only touch the rim but im also full grown. you may just have to wait untill you get a little taller, but exercise your calfs alot and dont put on alot of weight, keep trying to get your hands over that rim and like everything else youll improve with practice.

i can dunk, the best way to get higher is to do a lot of calf exercises. people that say "do squats" have no idea what they are talking about. calfs baby.

dont just concentrate on working your legs, although that is the obvious thing to do, core strength is essential in jumping ability too (although lots of people will suggest this, i would not recommend jumping with any weights on)
