Is it easier to dance with or without music?

Definately with. The music gives u a good beat to follow and something to get into.

It depends. If you are just having fun and/or improvising - of course it is better with music. But if you're attempting some complicated dance elements, it is easier to dance without music. You can slow down and take your time. When you're dancing to mucis, you have to match it, you don't want to be late or early. In a dance class, the instructor will explain you a step and ask you to dance it without music first. There is a reason for that.

for me it seems easy to do both.

In your head its more of a freestyle and when you turn the music on you can take that freestyle and use it for the music and its more likely that you will come up with a new dance without music.

It has to be with music. If you're working on something new, it may be better that the music is just in your head, where you can edit the tempo as you go along, but you have to have it anyway, or there's really no point, is there?

with, because it gets you going, i dance tap jazz, ballet, and lyrical. it helps me when I'm nervous while doing freestyle across the floor in my class, because i have no idea what to do.
