They don't sell my brand of popcorn. I have to go down to the seed and feed store for my corn.
Other than that I get along with Wal-Mart. Where else can you go to buy ammunition, hotdogs, and some Florida orange juice under the same roof??

If there is a problem with Wal-mart, then those same problems are also applicable to:
Home Depot
Lowes
Target
KMart
JC Penny
Publix
Kroger
Winn Dixie
CVS
Walgreens
Family Dollar
Dollar General
Auto Zone
Advanced Auto
PepBoys
McDonalds
BurgerKing
Taco Bell
A&W
Applebees
Hooters
Ford
GM
Chrysler
Bank of America
Master Card
Visa
The point is, all of these companies are dominators in their sectors. They all keep the little guys from prospering. They all employ lots of people. They all desecrate the landscape with their building, billboards advertising. Whats the big deal?
Oh, they all have uppermanagement workers. In America, if you don't like being at the bottom of the earnings scale, you can always move up. As long as you don't think that whining will get you there !
And, They operate their business, and pay their workers in accordance with the laws set and passed by our CONGRESS !!!!!!!!! If Wal-Mart doesn't pay over time, ask your CONGRESSMAN why !!!!!!

Wal-mart sells junk, absolute junk. I'd rather pay 20% more to a genuine local retailer because I know I'll get a product that is 50-100% better quality and the money I spent will stay in the community.

There once was a time in America where you didn't get a constant feeling of deja vu driving across country. When local business owners could thrive and pay their employees more than minimum wage. When a guy who worked at a soda shop could have a nice house and support a family. Personally I think businesses like WalMart took that away from us. We are now the big box empire were the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Your cheap prices have a hidden price tag.

I agree with your statement
does walmart have a ball and chain on these people
as far as people saying they refuse to go to wal mart--i think they are lying
wal mart has to follow the same laws that all other business follow--if people choose to work for wal mart--leave them to hell alone
as for overworking their people--open your eyes people\we just spent a week in a hospital---do you know what nurses have to put up with ?? and their product is life
as far as shipping jobs out of country--whats the difference with moving jobs out and moving beaners in
their is no way that wal mart can force a good mom and pop out of business if they dont want to go anyway--been there,,it dont happen--if your business sucks--just about anybody can close your doors
as far as the products in wal mart--you need to look everywhere you go--shelves are loaded --and items are marked as where made
and if you know what you are buying you dont have a complaint if it is crap

i refuse to shop at wal-mart as well. they don't pay workers overtime and barely offer benefits. and they undermine American labor & local companies. they demand merchandise at such low prices, American companies can't compete.
A couple of years ago, Rubbermaid sold products at Target, KMart and Walmart. The price of resin went up and Rubbermaid increased the cost of their products to the big box retailers. Kmart and Target agreed to raise prices, but Walmart didn't. Walmart insisted that they sell their products at the same price or even lower. Rubbermaid argued that they had to raise prices to cover their costs, but Walmart refused. Since Walmart was Rubbermaid's biggest buyer and Rubbermaid wanted to stay in business, Rubbermaid relented. So Rubbermaid had to cut costs and eventually moved their production lines to China. Hundreds of people in the US lost their jobs.

They pay such low wages that the money you save by shopping there goes into taxes for welfare for the working poor, who work there. They drive responsible and legitimate businesses out of business with unfair competition. Walmart ruins communities by causing traffic and not fitting into any kind of planned urban development. Walmart has been prosecuted for hiring illegal aliens as janitors. Walmart is the defendant in the biggest Civil Rights suit in history for discriminating against women. Walmart will not let their workers organize.

For one thing, they encourage manufacturers to have
their products made over seas, to keep the costs down.
That eliminates jobs here.
They provide health care only for those who are higher
up on the ladder.
Mostly, they work their employees too much & pay, too little.
Take a good look at your cashier the next time you're
checking out.
