Lol you will also find diehard Ford fans, so it's really just a matter of opinion.
I do believe, however, that Ford is big on using parts that have a limited life. It seems that all of their parts like to go out at the same time... My husband is a Chevy guy, but he loves Fords. He says they are a mechanics best friend...they are what keeps us in business.
But really, I think it's just a simple matter of opinion...

Lack of education.
The reason there are more parts available for Chevrolet's is because they move faster off the shelves. Ford used to magnaflux all rods that went into an engine. In the Chevy world that is called a "Performance" part (which means that performance is standard in a Ford, optional in a Bow Tie)
As for faster, HA. Try taking a Ford 4 door with a that V8. An 89 SHO would leave you in the dust.
Fords are designed for safety first. They also understate the horse power of the engine. Chevrolet has traditionally over stated horse power. Which would you Rather get- more then you were told you were getting (Ford) or less (GM).
Fords have more inspections done on car parts and such.
While there have been some great models in the Chevy line, few could buy them. While anyone could walk in and get a V8 mustang, not every one could get a V8 Camero in its final year.

That is only what Chevy people say. I'm an import fan but if I were to buy a domestic car, it would be a Ford. Historically, Chevy's are easier to work on and the parts were cheaper because there are more companies making parts for them. Ford also has a large availability of parts but the tend to cost more. In Ford's favor, you generally have to do less in repairs because Fords are usually more reliable.

For the same reason other people hate Chevys and love Fords. Personal preference. Many people will list specific reasons, but they all boil down to what each person likes better.

Just look around for one. You see a lot more old Chevies out there than Fords. And here is one for all the Jap car lovers. How many old Jap cars do you see out there. You don't do you.

Who said chevy is better than ford? Or vise versa? They are both same garbage. I must admit that I personally despise ford more than gm because of this:
