Do you believe in ghosts? why or why not?

If by ghosts you mean things like Casper then no.

If you mean spirits or entities then yes I do. We have two at home in our house right now (one that followed me on a 3000 mile move). They make sounds, and they can make a mess. One also manifests on occasion.

I know I can't prove it (now)...but i think it's quite probable. First of all, thought is energy, and when the body dies, where does that energy go? Couldn't it become what we call "ghosts"?

Second: I've seen & heard some PRETTY weird things since we moved into the house we're in now (build around 1870): pale faces in the hall, figures, voices calling my name when nobody's around (and my kid has the same....exc. for the face).

I am NOT afraid of ghosts...I think they're pretty cool! Shortly after my Dad died, I was at my Mom's and the door opened BY ITSELF (it would never have done that unless pushed!) and I felt a serene presence there, as if someone was "checking up" on me (something my father always did!).

It felt calming...and then he left. I'm not saying this proves anything...only that I keep my mind open to the idea that ghosts DO exist,

Yes.... and heres my reason why
I got home oneday from singing in a concert about 12 o clock or something at night...
I was in the bathroom cleaning my makeup off when a voice called my name, i had never heard this voice before, it was like a older woman, with a stern sort of voice.
i asked my mum what she wanted and she goes 'what i didnt say anything'
So i thought ok its just me.
So i went into my bedroom and was getting ready for bed, when a voice called me again, but this time it was my mums.
I asked mum what she wanted again, and she said she didnt call me again.
Ok so i was totally freaked out and i believe in ghosts now.
I felt a sort of energy that night.
This year i was talking to a friend of mine about ghosts, she said that spirits/ghosts take on someones voice you know if you are not responding or listening to them.
I have seen figures to, heard noises, felt energy etc but i am not sure if they are true.
But i KNOW my story is true, it has never happened again but oneday i will try and talk to that person, i need to know why the wanted me, but first i have to know more about contacting them first, and work up the courage.
so YES i do believe in ghosts.

I believe in the Holy Ghost, why because I'm saved and filled.
A ghost is an unseen spirit and to answer your question, yes I believe spirits are present

i will say that i believe in spirits and not ghosts.
i believe in spirits because i know for a fact that there are certain people who were not meant to die and did not want to cross over so they continue their lives until it is fulfilled.
for example: my grandmother is still here on earth with my family and i. I know this for a fact because when i do things that i no i shouldn't i can actually feel her presence telling me that its wrong( some people would call this you conscious,but for me i have both)
also really weird things happen to let me know that shes around. like since she lived with me and my mom before she died she would always turn on the tv at 3:00 in the morning to watch her favorite show,which is family matters, and you will actually here her favorite chair moving to turn torwards the tv so she could see.
And if you get the idea that i worship the dead i don't

no.. at least not ghosts that would be able to perceive the world around them.. a body is required in order to see, hear, touch, taste, and feel.. without a body, a ghost would lack all of these senses.. so if ghosts do exist, then we are as invisible to them as they are to us.. not to mention that a brain is required to think, and ghosts wouldn't have a brain either..

Yes I believe but not in evil spirits but ghosts of avarice,lust and greed and religious fundamentalism..These are the ghosts which destroys the lives of people.

Yeah i beliving them.Ive seen so many before.Ghosts are spirits that had a violent death and didnt rest fully so now they haunt the world.Its said that ghosts are the devils demons but i dont know lol

yes, because i've seen them.theres a place in dentonville,okla called crybaby bridge,although we didnt see a baby, we got a lot of cool stuff on camera you can see orbs and a outline of a man walking around the car,and theres something in the trees that appears to a woman but shes not moving more of a sway so yes i believe.
