Well theres no real fact as to why others didn't have his same look. One Thought could be that maybe people thought Hitler was trying to be original and they were fearful of imitating him, Another idea could stand to reason that his mustache just looked ridiculous and no one wanted to be the one to tell him.

I have the impression that the "toothbrush moustache" was already out of fashion when Hitler was young, except for the occasional small village conservative schoolteacher and bureaucrat (the type that would wear lederhosen out of principle), and in the Japanese army. That's why Charlie Chaplin sporting one was funny. Only a few fanatical low-level Nazi members adapted the example.

If you want to have a contest among yourselves, that is one thing. But I think it is incredibly rude to go around in costumes that you know are offensive and knowck on people's doors. The image of Hitler is not an appropriate prop for a game or a joke. Find a better way to spend your time.

Actually the "Hitler" moustache was in favor before, during and after the Hitler era. Other men did wear it. There is photographic proof out there.

Well, I worship Jesus and I am not going to be wearing sandals all day and not going to have long hair either. So you can worship somebody without tryng to look exactly like him/her.
As far as the germans goes they knew exactly what was going on! I don`t buy the we didn`t really know/couldn`t do anything legend.
They started 2 world wars and will start a 3rd one if allowed. The neonazis are growing enough to win seats in local goverments. I guess the people who voted for them had to do it.

The people followed the leader but I would not say they "worshiped" him. And not all liked him but they could not show it because they would put them in the concentration camps also. So if you don't like a person you don't imitate him.

The in look for nazis was the (in)famous aryan look. If you look at all their propaganda those men are without facial hair. So only Hitler could get away with having one. Every other nazi was too busy trying to look as aryan as possible.

Have you ever SEEN how ridiculous he looked sporting that little patch of hair on his lip? If you didn't HAVE to grow one similar, would you? I sure wouldn't. I don't care how much I might worship someone. There are some versions of self-uglifying I just won't consider.

Usually, that's too long for me. I consider it depends on the guy and his face though. Certain guys may pull off long hair and other folks can't.
