yes they should.
That is the punishment for being illegal.
We should not have to support these people who take everything and dont contribute anything.
If they want to come, apply like every other person, get a job pay your tax and have some pride.
All this free hand out crap to these people has to stop.
They have no value to society at all.
Lets face it, if you went to their country, they would never give you anything.

Yes, they should be. They have broken the law by entering this county illegally. Do I blame them? No; I'd probably do the same thing to give my children a better life.
The illegals in jail need to be sent back to where they came from--that seems very basic to me.
The source of the problem is Mexico's corrupt government. But our government is to blame as well, as well as the greedy stockholders/business owners who encourage cheap labor.
The middle class in America will cease to exist within the next 5 years if this madness continues.
And I get very annoyed with those who call people like me a racist. How convenient. I'm far from a racist. How about looking at the problem??? How about acknowledging the American worker who is being forced out of the workplace?
ETA: Who is giving all these answers a thumbs-down? Almost everything everyone wrote is true. Where do YOU stand on the issue?

Here's my solution. We need to prevent illegal immigration, most likely by building a wall. Illegal immigration hurts our country. THEN, after it is stoped, give amnesty. Deporting people already in the country would cause undue hardships and governemnt trouble. If we give amnsety now, more people will come and we'll have the problem again.

of course they should be deported. first of all it screws up the sensus and it doesn't give a correct account of how many people are living in canada or USA. also there is a limited number of jobs and illegal immigrants do not have a social insurance number therefore they are not contributing to the upkeep of the country. they don't pay taxes. they don't have a legal drivers license. they cost us money on the health care system. they are not protected under the constitution. they can't plead the 5th ammendment because they don't belong in that country. what else do I have to tell you.

Yes, they should be. If you really loved your country you'd see that the "illegal" in illegal immigrant means something (ie, illegal in your country's law). I think that this is all that needs to be said. Really there is no debate that deportation of illegals is a must.
Either immigrants are legal or they are breaking your country's law. Think about that.

I believe they should be taken to the border and dropped off. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law (BTW in today's newspaper a man was arrested for DUI involved in a traffic accident death. The man had a phony ID, had no insurance, drunk and "undocumented").

It would be nice, but its never going to happen. What we need to do is make it impossible for Illegals to get work in America. Once the jobs disappear there will be no motivation to cross the border illegally

Yes, but only after the border is secure. Otherwise we're just wasting time transporting them.
Why? Because they do not belong here unless they properly follow the legal procedures like everyone else.

Illegal immigrants who receive benefits from the government, i.e. free medical care, food stamps, housing, etc. SHOULD be deported. Also, illegal immigrants who are in prison should be deported. Our prisons are overcrowded enough as it is.
Illegal immigrants who actually contribute to our economy, i.e. pick our fruit, wash our cars, etc. should be registered so that they can pay taxes and boost our economy.
