i have seen a lot of questions on this and without putting any more fuel in the fire do you think all this negative gang bashing if you want to call it helps.
what gerry and kate mcann did was wrong and im not defending them for leaving there children, but how many of you have done something in life that, has caused concequences, and i dont mean just with your children.
there is one person on here that has a personal vendetta against the mccans so it seems ,no names mentioned, but when is all of this they left there children alone going to stop?

I understand what you're saying, but I also understand why some people can't let it go (me included).
It's one thing to mess up in such a spectacular way - and I bet no-one would disagree that leaving the children on their own in an unlocked apartment in strange surroundings was the wrong thing to do - but it's quite another thing to try to justify it and brush it off, while at the same time covering your back with solicitors and legal advisors.
That's where I have a problem with the McCanns.
I also have a big problem with the website (which was registered on Friday, May 11th, just one week after her disappearance). I object to the tone of the entries, the mercenary nature of it, the fact that the About Madeleine section has no information about Madeleine, but the Donate section has extensive information about how to get money into the fund.
I find it ironic that the parents think they should have 'time alone' every day - and did so within a week of the child disappearing.
I have a problem with the press releases and interviews - everything is so carefully worded and scripted, clearly more about covering their backs than anything else. Gerry McCann told an outright lie in the interviews - he said there was a line of sight from the apartment to the restaurant... I don't like that his priority is yet again about covering his back.
I find the blogs nothing short of bizarre, really bizarre in fact. Very little mention of Madeleine, full of detail about things that are of absolutely no relevance to finding her. Odd, in the extreme.
I could go on, but I'd be here all day...
So, while I would have every sympathy normally for the parents of a missing child, in this case, my bullsh*t metre is flashing and beeping like crazy. I don't like the events that have transpired since the disappearance, I don't like them one little bit.

A personal vandetta is not going on! I think the person that took Maddy was an oportunist and could have taken any child or the child was taken to order.

There is so much crap on this site and it is difficult to comprehend! ~For goodness sake, a child has gone missing and the parents are going through hell! Any person with children know how they feel and I would be doing anything and everything to get that child back. The parents would rather have the child back and it is rather sick for some on this site to suggest that they are enjoying the holiday they are having travelling the world but they are looking for their daughter and not enjoying themselves by the seaside!!!!. They are desperate parents as most would be in that situation. Anyone thinking otherwise are either not parents, are single or are bad parents! Although I dont know the McCan's personally I feel they are responsible parents and like the rest of us, had a false sense of security with being on holiday, thought it was a safe place etc but having said that, I would have taken the children with me and they could have slept in their pram while we all ate and on holiday - I think routine goes out of the window for the week when you are away! Having said this, I do not blame them in anyway. We are all different and I feel they felt they were doing their best in keeping to their childrens routine on a 'safe' holiday destination abroad. They have my thoughts and prayers and I hope they find Maddy soon. My heart goes out to them.

well u no i made quite a lot of big mistakes in my life but i never make the same 1 twice, and i made a few small 1s with my kids, like the wrong amont of formula and forgettin their christmas presents 1 year, but when you make a mistake as big as the Mc canns people are goin to voice an opinion about it,yes there are a few people on here who harboour evil thoughts against children and wish they had Madelinne, and then u r goin 2 get a lot of people that are more intrested in gossip so the attention will be switched between 2camps..for/anti Mc cann, then u will have people who remember that that the only thing is Find the missing child,i mean surely that should be the uppermost thought?

In this day and age, it is completely unacceptable to leave three very young children alone, by themselves in a strange apartment, especially when theres a babysitting service. Obviously the consequence has been the abduction, but anything could have happened, a fire, a fall, a wandering child, and general upset. What the McCanns have committed is neglection and even now, they have left their other two children to court the media.

They should be made to answer for their contribution in the incident, ie leaving their children wide open for abduction.

I have a grown daughter, and I made many mistakes over the years, but leaviing her alone was not one of them. If I stopped at the store to pick up milk, I shut off the car engine, got her out of the car seat, took her into the store for a 2 minute transaction, went back out and repeated the process. We read iin the papers every day how children left alone "for just a minute" drown, wander outside and get lost, are abducted and on & on. I think a major part of the outrage is that these are educated, intelligent people who "certainly" should have known better.

it was totally wrong to leave the 3 kids alone beacuse anything could have happened not just 1 kid going missing .. what if all 3 would have got out of the room and fell in the pool and drowned or all 3 kidnapped. it just doesnt make sense but they are paying the ultimate price now and probably always will because if the kidnapper wanted a ransom they would have been in touch by now but common sense says that they can say goodbye to ever seeing madeleine again i think.... its hard to think like that i know but look at the statistics...

I've done things in life that has caused consequences, the difference being that the only person that got hurt was me.I don't pretend that i am perfect, because i'm not,as none of us are....However-the reason the McCanns are being slated is because they are forcing themselves upon the public via the media. They made a choice that ended tragically-they know that,we know that-but maybe if they had been forthcoming with the apology ,and the hearfelt messages to their daughter via the said media, joe public may have softened towards them just a little.

They are soooo concerned about their children, they left their other two children in Portugal so they could visit the pope. Later this week they are also going to several other countries around Europe. If I had just lost a child, and I had 2 other children, I would never let my other 2 children out of my sight. I think the parents should be put in prison and the other 2 children should be taken away from them, and the extended family should look after the children. I have a lot of sympathy for their situation, but the fact remains - THEY HAVE 2 OTHER CHILDREN, THEY SHOULD LOOK AFTER THEM. They have not learned their lesson, they are still leaving their children in Portugal. What a couple of a**holes!!!!

I dont think anyone has a personal vendetta, they cant unless they know them personally. It will never stop, its allways going to be the bottom line, its been a long time now, i just hope she is found. Oh and you are adding fuel to the fire now you have added your opinion. All this is about now is trips to Rome, Uk, Madrid ect and money money money! , its disgusting. There should be no trips, use their own money, like everyone else has had to do, arrests and get the girl found. End of chat

I'll stop bashing them when they get put in prison for neglect. You lock up people who commit crimes due to drugs...surely that's just a mistake too. Everyone makes mistakes and people live with the consequences of their actions. Most people don't make a fortune from their appalling behaviour. If you let the McCanns slip through then what about all the other cases of neglect that come up? Should we ignore all crimes from this day forward? As you say they are just mistakes that anyone could make.
