rent starts usually from 400 and up pr month. I guess you might find cheaper places but, I assume you want a normal place to live. As for a job...it's the same as everywhere else. If you qualify to be whatever you want to be, the job is yours.

Pay is not great $10-$12 an hour.
Jobs are there.
Can you start on the bottom and work up.
You can rent a weekly, cheap
Apartment from $500 to $900 for one bedroom.
This is the greatest place to live and work.
Check some casino web sites and drop down to careers and you will see the jobs.
If you work in Food and Beverage there's tips. Know people with great really great incomes.
How hard do you want to work.

See if you can get a casino dealer card before you move or a support service (slot machine repair). Casino websites have employment postings. Security work can range from the casinos, to, yes, Area 51.
It doesn't pay much there.
It's grown a lot so there's more than the casinos, but it winds up being like living in most desert towns. I'd pick Phoenix/Scottsdale if I wanted desert "towns".
There's a high turnover (although plenty of work for card dealers) in the casinos but you might want to try to get in to a gov't job.
Cheap place to live but not that cheap. Prob. find on Craigslist how much rent is. If you're not sure, rent a room. Has its nice areas and rough areas. Weather yo yos between extremely hot in summers to extremely cold in winters.

Las Vegas mostly is paying $8 an hour to work, but you want to the casino dealer school then pay more $$$ to work. A lot of apartments are very affordable to live about rent $100 to 500 where mostly ghettos live.

Houses are pretty expensive in Vegas. A 2-3 bedroom rambler will run you somewhere in the 1,500 a month range.
The normal salary depends on what you plan to do. Working in hotels or casino's as a desk clerk or something will net you about 20,000 a year.

all of your questions are all based on you, if you want to work in the casinos , they do a back ground check, and also a drug test. Normal salary in a casino are based on experience, And rent is based also on your credit report and your living accomodations, single, family, etc.
