yes: but was there any other news
at that time
the sort of news that makes it hard for politicians
and their positions of power
if its aired on tv,no i guess not
otherwise it would have been the
same type of all enterprising come and get your free
t-shirt and whistle in next weeks super copy
of the sun,media frenzy
Similar in style to this maddie story but a different kid
this news has only been drafted in to the public arena
this way probably
1 because it was timely and also makes a useful smokescreen to cover up "?" who knows .And 2 What a great oppurtunity for burying
bad news!and i mean a politicians idea of bad news
1-Headlines: A little child goes missing or has been snatched from the bedroom at night -Attention levels of the general public are now in the first stage of alert and the need for more details is at a high 2nothing much more has been said or told to us by the news channels 3 public is really attentive to this news story now as nobody really knows what the full sp is and want to know more soon,4] portugal police are slow and laid back in their initial news briefing outing5-48 hours has nearly gone by and only brief snippets of any new news is announced- public has seen the same clips a million times and turn away from the news for a while ,and are not so enthusiastic as they were initially a week ago at the beggining of the story about hearing any good news
.
AND Slowly but steadily in the Publics need for news lull
The news you dont need to hear or see
quietly passes by relatively unwatched and quick and short in its details
Then SUSPECT arrested for questioning
BRIGHT LIGHTS BACK ON media overload again
public back into Alerted state again
and most attention is Captured and directed towards
this case again

Thats nothing, a 6 year old was raped by 2 elderly men while their mother watched, then he was murdered and dumped in a bin bag by the side of the road. Happened 14 days ago.
Please let other important news dominate the news, every missing child has a right to be in the News.

yes but people keep coming and referencing questions to madeleine and saying there are other missing children wouldnt it be better if all the people saying that came on and named them rather than yet again mentioning madeleine for people who seem to think she is getting too much attention then why keep on having questions about her ask questions regarding the other missing children or at least name them or nobody will ever know his name
also madeleine has been missing for 4 weeks tomorrow
and as to the missing boy if you are speaking of the same boy i heard of earlier apparently he had an argument with his mother and packed a bag and ran off which he has done before not really the same thing as a 4 yr old taken from her bed my god knows what kind of maniac

Is that the little girl that the parents went to the hotel pool while the child slept in her room?........I don't think the parents should have left her......that being said yes I think they should think of many more ways to let people know when kids go missing......I'm sure a lot is being done but we need much more.

It is very sad and strange. I didn't even know another child went missing in the first place never mind his name. Good point made there.

Are his parents Doctors? Does his Father have the "right"accent? Does he have Blond hair?
But wait, he still wont qualify, Why? He's a Boy.
Makes me both very sad and angry that other kids are missing, in fact are going missing right now, and neither the Government or the Media gives a damn.

No, it isnt strange. Children all over this planet are gone missing and are abused and are murdered every single day. But most of this does not appear in the newspapers. No, I dont know why.

What is sad really, is the fact that if, with all the publicity maddy has had, still doesn't help in bringing her back home.......what chance do any of the other missing children have?

If you've learnt that he is missing you could have at least mentioned his name, then we'd learn more about him as well.
Thats just my point. Maddie's parents (wrong as they were to leave their babies alone) are focussed on Maddie & are doing all they think is best to get her back. Its up to all other poor parents of missing children to do what they think is best to get their kids back. Am sure if they do, they will get support from the media & public the way Maddie's folks have. Its negative to presume to that just b'cos Maddie has got media coverage other cases don't & so are neglected. If coverage is what you think will get your baby back, do all you can to get it. If you do care about this little boy, post us some more info him...

I think you are reffering to a little Spanish boy who went missing about two months ago. We've only heard about it now because the police are starting to turn their attention to Spain as they think Maddy could be there.
