1. Bad health habits - more people are smoking (a habit Asians adopted from the West), more people are eating junk food and skipping vegetables (Asian foods were previously rich in vegetables and low in fats, but now people all over the world are eating McDiets), and in some unregulated pollution and industrial chemicals are going to contribute to cancer morbidity and mortality (China, I'm looking straight at you!)

2. Decreasing infectious disease mortality (HIV/AIDS notwithstanding) means people will by dying of other causes, like cancer. Hygiene interventions did a lot of cut mortality for things like acute diarrhea (namely clean water!). We have vaccines and antibiotics for a lot of diseases that used to wipe out villages. So if infections are killing fewer folks, we can expect something else to step in a fill the void.

3. Longer life expectancies mean more time for people (including Asians) to develop and die from cancer.
