I can't remember the name of this show, but i remember that these kids had to run through this crazy maze type thing and there were these 4 gatekeepers that had weird costumes that i think asked you questions that you had to answer before you could go on. It was really cool looking and it's been driving me crazy, i cannot remember for the life of me.

No, it wasn't on Nickelodeon. It wasn't legends of the hidden temple or where in the world is carmen sandiego. It had this elaborate maze at the end of the show with all these crazy people standing around in costumes and they would have to answer questions to get past.

I think you're remembering Masters of the Maze, but maybe not.

Players ran through a maze in four parts. The first part was the Mirror Maze, where they were stopped by a Mirror Man, and they had to correctly answer a question to continue. The next part varied in the two season. In season one, the player had to find two Power Sticks before putting their visor down and entering the Honeycomb Maze. The second season had them being stopped by the Lady of the Maze, and identifying a picture before they could put their visor down and enter the Ice Cave searching for a Power Stick.

The third part was the Chamber of Knowledge where the players were asked questions from guardians of the gates, and correct answers unlocked the gate. And the fourth varied a bit as well. Season one had them just inserting a power stick on a pedastol to stop the clock. The second season had players destroying two Mirror Men on a video screen with their laser before running up Lightning Mountain to stop the clock.

This show was not on PBS, rather on the Family Channel.

It may have been a local show in just your state. Or it could have been a segment of Zoom or some other syndicated show like that.
