im tired off the people who like one type of music and hate everyone that likes something different. for example i look like i like punk rock and heavy metal but the truth is that i like everything. im just trying to find someone to talk to about stuff like this.

My CD (and vinyl) collection includes jazz, blues, rock and roll (various genres), bluegrass, classical, soul, reggae, folk, indigenous music, Gregorian chants, R&B, show tunes, ragtime, juju, various Latin forms, Country/Western, funk....you name it.
It's sad how many people limit themselves musically. I congratulate you for wanting to open your ears.

I enjoy almost all kinds of music. I understand what you are saying. I make it a point to make sure my children are expose to all kinds of music, from classical to country, from punk to blues, from tribal to show tunes. I'm not ashamed to say I like listening to show tunes or blue grass and that I have also moshed and even gotten a busted lip in a pit at a Pantera concert. I think different type of music help get people through different times. Those that hate are most likely closet junkies for the stuff they trash.

I agree with you. It's frustrating to have so many close minded people in this world. I can only speak for myself, but I think that good music knows no time period or prejudice.
