What exactly is the definition of a demi cup bra? Also, is it padded? Is that what makes it a demi cup?

Yes, it is a pretty, flattering, lower cut cup, but in common usage of the word (at dept stores, etc.) it does not expose the nipple at all (it is cut well above that - nothing like shelf cups.) It can be padded or unpadded.

Demi cup means it only supports and covers the bottom half of your boobs. (Demi means half in French...) The cups are also designed to sort of push your boobs up and out, to give you really cool cleavage. It can be padded or not padded, but most styles of demi bra are padded at least a little. here are a few examples of demi bras:

A bra that reveals the upper portion of the breasts and exposes the nipple; gives great support. Also known as Shelf Cups.

half cups, they sit lower on the breast for low cut clothing. And they tend to make small breasts look bigger so if youre small breasted and you want a sexier look a demi may be for you.
