For example: I am from San Diego; but the Packers are also my favorite team. I like Brett Favre and I like that the city owns the team. Green Bay is what all football teams should be about.

Not really, i live in Iowa so there is no home team, but I like the Falcons who are far way, not anyone close like Green Bay or Minnesota. I probably would be a fan if they were in my home town just because you could go to all the games and you would see stuff for your team all around. But it's also nice to be able to chose a team to like instead of just liking the team in town.

I have always lived in Northern Ohio and I am a die hard Miami Dolphin fan. I have been a Dolphins fan since 1983, when I was 8. I enjoyed watching Dan Marino play. Other than that fact I do not know why I picked the Dolphins as my team. Through the years, I have stayed a Dolphins fan even though they give me little to cheer about. They just keep getting players that I like. Back in the 80's, I liked Dan as well as the "Marks brothers" (Mark Duper and Mark Clayton). In the early 90's, they drafted a guy named O.J. McDuffie, whom I was a huge fan of because I seen him play in high school when the team from my school beat his team in the state playoffs. I was, and still am a Ricky Williams fan. I also like Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, and Ronnie Brown. This year they added another player that I am a fan of, in Ted Ginn Jr. from Ohio State. I may also say that I am a John Beck fan in the very near future.

I live in Wisconsin and I'm a Carolina Panthers fan.
Why? Well I never watched football until 1995 because I was 8... (And I lived in Illinois at the time) so I figured, I'll follow a team from the beginning while I have the opportunity. So ever since 1995 when they joined the league, I was with them, and I'll never stray away. Go Panthers!

I live in Columbus Ohio. We have two pro teams here, the Bungles and the browns, I can't stand them. I root for the Titans. I started rooting for the Houston Oilers cause I'm originally from Texas. The Oilers may have gone through some hard times in the 80's but they Moon, Billy "white shoes" Johnson, Drew Hill and Bruce Matthews. Then in the mid 90's Steve McNair, Eddie George, Javon "The Freak" Kearse, Frank Wycheck, the list goes on. When they moved to Tennessee I followed them. The year they may it to Super bowl was both a dream come true and heartbreaking when they lost by one yard...well that's my story.

I'm from Chicago but a did hard Vikings fan. it started out by me asking my dad what his least favorite baseball team was, and he said the Minnesota twins because he's a huge white sox fan. so since then I've started liking the twins, then I just started liking all Minnesota teams for some reason.

San Francisco is my favorite team, and I live in Utah. I don't cheer for a home team because we don't have one. And a lot of players for the San Francisco 49ers played college football in Utah. (Steve Young, Alex Smith), just to name a few.

I live about 3hrs south of Chicago but I'm a 49er fan... I like the history and tradition, and I'm a big Montana and Rice fan. Plus, I don't believe you have to root for the "home" team because I don't want to be like everyone else.

I am from Indiana but hate the Colts....and ive been hearing it all year!!
I am a Rams fan all the way.....mainly because Marshall Faulk. He is who turned me on to football starting at San Diego State...then to the Colts....then to the Rams. After the Rams starting doing good and won a superbowl, I got to know all the players on the team and will be a Rams fan till I die!
You can call it jumping on the bandwagon, but you have to start somewhere....... I will stay loyal to my team no matter what!!

My favorite NFL team is the Denver Broncos even though I grew up in Phoenix. The reason is that my dad was from Colorado and the Cardinals did not come to Arizona until I was in 6th grade. I was already a huge Elway fan by then.

Yes, Im a Die hard Raider fan and live in Detroit, but have lived all over. My dad has brainwashed me since I was a kid. I think mostly because your favorite team fits your personality. Every Franchise has a personality, whether its their colors, money, location, people they draft etc.. I like the tradition, bad boy image, hated by everyone, etc.. etc... I dont see how the cowboys are America's team.
