ahh. lately i've been totally stressing. i have been thinking about the future, and at school theyre telling us that we're gonna be adults soon and that we should already have our education in the first stages of planning. i'm worried that i'm not going to be sucessful when i'm older, and not have a happy life and get married... i've seen other people get help on here, can you help me too!

Ok take a deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath and exhale...feel better? Kid you just got to relax and ask yourself who am I and where do I want to go? If you don't know, GREAT!! You are officially a teenager!!! Take the time to explore, spend a summer back packing across Europe, see Peru, the Pyramids, walk the Great Wall and just explore life a little. Just because you don't know what you want to do doesn't mean you wont get married, have 2.5 kids, husband, dog, cat, gerbil, house and picket fence or be a roaring success. Life is life, it happens and you cant plan every little detail and expect it to go according to plan. Just go with it, take your time to explore, talk to friends and family to see what they do to see if it interests you. If all else fails, go to college, party for seven years and then run for president

We don't see things the way they're "going" to be in the future becuase it's not written yet. You will form and shape that as you make the choices, large and small, that affect your life.
It's good to think ahead and try and plan but I'd urge you to spend more time enjoying your youth. It's now that you're forming your likes and dislikes and I'm certain that an image that you might have as an "adult" (whatever that means) won't be the same as when you're in your 20's and beyond. That's the way it's supposed to be. This was certainly true for me.
I'm certain that your teachers are placing so much emphasis on the future is really meant for those people who haven't thought about it at all and are not taking school seriously. Getting your message through to someone who doesn't want to hear it takes a LOT of repetetion which is what they're doing.
Live. Love. Laugh and cry. Experience the highs and lows that your life has to offer. After that you will know what you want from the future.

I'm assuming your in junior high, or high school. I know where you're coming from. You sound like a person who is very concerned about their future, a good sign to say the least. Being concerned means that you have it good and you're trying to keep it that way. I assure you, your future will unfold before you easily, because all this stuff that people say is more fluff than fact. Of course, for some, it is VERY hard to get a decent future on track, but I have the feeling that you will be extremely successful, so don't worry.

Hoe do YOU define a 'successful' life? Don't let the idea of tomorrow take away from the life you're living right now! Your life is NOW not in the future! Live today too. Do you think a person can live a perfectly happy / successful life without ever being married? (well the answer is yes.) Live your life on YOUR timetable, and you'll be much happier, and live even more.

true success is having faith that GOD will provide for you each day. working being thankful for the work . not thinking i need this or that but instead coming to the point where you can say i have all the things i need so now i can focus on what i really need . what we all really need is to be good Christians . do that fail at everything else and you will still be a huge success

Don't worry. My dad had three different jobs before hew found his career. Just go for what you want to do. I want to be a comedian or Singer so i joined the choir and make jokes when i can.
