I searched my soul: Lightning (if i had to choose)
that is Lightning (with the humble rumble of thunder.)..
(I am both and the rain and the clouds and all of them wishing they knew themselves)
Then, when the sun is shining I'm glad I'm not always that intense. =)

I would rather be the lightning. For some reason a good lightning show has always transfixed me. I even stood outside with my first camera taking pictures of lightning during a storm. I got a cold but I still have the pictures.
Thanks Enki for bringing back a good memory. So which would you be, thunder or lightning?

Definitely, thunder. Lightening is too piercing, the crackles sound and look violent, giving only glimpses of fear by frightfully lighting up the dark sky. It misrepresents what is beautiful as a menacing creature during storm. Thunder, on the other hand, does not portend to be more than what it is. It does not aim to force or dramatize through showy lights against a threatening backdrop. Thunder tantalizes the imagination by leaving what is in and what is felt by the sound up to one's imagination. It is a magnificent rumble and boom, but at the same time, a subtle, subjective statement...

Lightning, because even though I would only be there for a few seconds I would make a lasting impact.
