I brought the backbag from ebay, and I paid on May 22th. Couple days ago, I ask the seller
about the tracking number and he respond me

"There is no tracking number for regular priority shipping through the USPS. Expect the item to arrive a little later because of the holiday. "

is that true?

That is one thing we, online retailer, don't like to ship with USPS.

Their tracking system sucks. You can pay more to get more tracking information, but expect to pay the same price that you can get better service from UPS, FedEx or DHL.

And you don't have software system to integrate with USPS to track your spending and import into your accounting system.

That's true no tracking number for priority shipping thru USPS. Priority mail should usually take 2-3 days and yes a holiday would probably delay it. The seller could have gotten a delivery confirmation number if he had paid extra for it. If you don't receive it, I think there is some type of recourse you can take w/ ebay to get your money back. just check the website or call customer care.

Priority mail is nothing more than first class mail that can be used for packages that weigh over 12 oz. As a matter of fact, I have sent envelopes priority vs. first class and first class was faster. But that being said, there is no traceability and no tracking number. You have to buy something on top of that like delivery confirmation....I did this and you can then log on and find out where it is on its way to you. Most of the time on eBay the seller will tell you how it will be sent OR give you the option. Normally I have seen just regular USPS first class or priority mail though.

there is a a tracking number that can be provided. It cost about 55 cents more to add it to regular priority mail.
