rather than to have 2 or 3 of them batlle it amongst each other. It seems like all the Obama supporters hate Hillary and all of the Hillary supporters dislike Obama (and/or Edwards). If they would just unite and fully support one candidate all the way, the Democrats would win a lot more elections.

The Republicans do just that. They pick one candidate - no matter how bad he might be - and give him their full support all the way. This is why George W. Bush is our current President. This is why Ronald Reagan was President. This is how Nixon became President. Need I say more?

I understand that there are primaries. But, sometimes when a Democratic candidate gets nominated, some Democrats would not vote for him/her because of dislike and/or disagreement.

This is not the case with Republicans. Even though they might dislike their nominated candidate, they would still go to the polls to vote for their party's nominated candidate.

Only if they want to be gauranteed the presidency. About the only hope Republicans have is that Obama or Edwards will get the nod - after being so thoroughly savaged by the Clinton attack machine as to be virtually unelectable.

Depends. The Republicans do the same thing the Democrats do when they don't have a president running.

I agree that the Republicans are far more dirtier than Democrats. Maybe that is why so many are in jail for voter fraud or interfering with campaigns, like in my state, where they were federally convicted for jamming all the Democrat lines during election day so no one could be given a ride to the poll!

We pick one candidate, but we want someone that usually the majority can agree on! Once that is done, Democrats stand behind their candidate usually! Some don't obviously, but that works both ways as we saw in 2006, and will see again in 2008!

You act like Reagan and Nixon had no one run against them!

Nixon was elected after LBJ said he would not seek a 2nd term and the fall-out of Vietnam, just as Reagan for the Fall-out of prisoners being held by Iran! He later showed them his support by selling them weapons during Iran/contra!

You mentioned the 2nd worst president in US history, and a person that should be the 3rd worst! The worst is in office!

What are you talking about? Nobody fully supports one candidate all the way. McCain won Iowa the year that Bush won the nomination.

This is why we have primaries. Republicans do not pick one single candidate to stand behind, did you ever watch a debate?
