I have just purchased a 1994 caravan and the brakes are locked. They were fine when i drove away but when i reversed and then went forward they were very tight. Any idea what the problem might be?

Brake adjuster's in the rear brakes may not be working properly--rusted up. Have a brake shop inspect them. Parking brake cables may be frozen/rusted causing the brakes to lock up---spray down all the cables/sheathing with rust penetrant, let them soak for several hours and try to apply and release the parking brake several times. Repeat if necessary or replace cables.
