What do you do in a casting company?

I'm thinking of joining this casting company which also provide acting lessons. Have any of you gone through a casting company? And what's it like?

I work in casting and to me it's a lot of fun. I get to set up and sit in on auditions. I also make photo copies of the script for the actors. Sometimes I read the opposite parts of the auditioning actor.

This sounds like a SCAM! Casting Directors do NOT provide ACTING LESSONS. (Sometimes they teach classes away from their office.)

It seems as if they are a scam. Do not get involved with them.

If you are asked to pay money to join the casting company LEAVE immediately.

It's not necessary to pay a Casting Director.
