like most of the correct answers above you could find them near train tracks and the beach. because train tracks their are many different rocks that are piled near the rails, and oceans because of the trenches and underwater volcanos. own a grill? you could either buy charcol, coal, or yours truly lava rocks!

Don't know for sure, but the first place I'd check is the gift shop of a park in Hawaii or another volcanic island.
