What would a girl have to do to be branded as clingy? I've heard it a million times from guys who think their girlfriends are clingy.

It translates as not their type. Guys are bored by it, girls think they are being loving. You have to know how much distance to maintain to avoid this label. Guys aren't emotional in the way that girls are.

Do you expect him to call you more than once a day or at a specific time?
Do you expect him to see you every day on the weekends?
Do you expect him to spend the majority of his time by your side at a party?
Do you ask him what you should do in situations?
Do you expect him to be at all of your family functions?
If you can say yes to more than two, you are a clingy girl.

Someone who is constantly hanging all over you can never let you be alone, never let you be with your friends.....Stage 5 cling on lol watch the Wedding Crashers it will show you what a "clingy girl" is!

If she calls repeatedly, leaves more than one voicemail not specifically asking a question more than 2 times per day, randomly showing up at your house, showing up where you are if you had planned on not being together, obvioiusly having hate towards your friends because they are taking "her" time with you, etc.

If they call alot, always want to be together, and never give their partner any time alone or any space. Stuff like that.
