50 kD = 50,000 amu = 50,000 g/mol protein

135 g/mol amino acid

50,000 g/mol protein / 135 g/mol amino acid = 370 mol amino acid/mol protein

So, about 370 amino acids long.

Average AA molecular weight is 115 or 0.115 kD

50 / 0.115 = 434.782609
