i guess you reap what you sow... look, i don't hate liverpool... but some of the supporters i've met here and elsewhere are an amazing lot thinking that they have the God-given right to win everything... if only some of its supporters are a bit magnanimous, gracious, humble and respectful, i think it will not have as much haters as they have right now...

Apart from those tarred with the Man U., stigma, Liverpool were never actually 'hated' by anyone (though Leeds and Everton fans had a bit of a 'loathing' for them). This was due to the fact Liverpool, blessed with some of the best from Scotland, bossed by the the much respected Bill Shankly, played some of the finest football ever seen in the UK. This all seemed to change when the Reds disbanded their famous 'boot-room' policy, started messing with team colours (incorporating green and the like) and joined the greedy money-men brigade. Now they have went as far as selling themselves to American interests (we all know what that means) they are regarded as no more than a poor man's Chelsea. More's the pity.....Shankly must be turning in his grave.

Simply because Liverpool fans go on and on and on and on about their past just because their current team is no where near as successful. As for the bunch of hooligans this is because of the previous incidents that your fans have caused... heysel, hillsborough and the troubles recently in Greece. It is largely because of Liverpool fans that all English clubs were banned from european competitions for a few years. So that is the justification for rival fans to call them hooligans.
