I heard a song sang by a bloke on TV yesterday, I think it was on a preview for some programme - in it he sang 'hallelujah...hallelujah? Sorry I cant give any more details but hopefully someone will know it.

The version you probably heard was by Jeff Buckley (it seems to be the most popular version). You can find it on his album Grace (great disc....I highly recommend it). The song was originally written and performed by Leonard Cohen.

Yes, the name is "Hallelujah".

The version I know was by singer Rufus Wainwright - his is probably the most famous and popular version of the song, due it's use on the Shrek 2 soundtrack.

He's been promoting a new album recently doing lots of interviews so you may have heard him talking about it on one of those.

Yeah its Jeff Buckley....he drowned when he was at the seaside gettin pissed with his mate. Sad really.
