Rather than repeating the same things all the time, why dont we all channel this anger and do something? We are either angry at the Mckanns or at the animal who took Madeline, but I think most people are angry! Why not campaign to sort the paedophiles out, harsher penalties would be a start.

Death, tattoos, LIFE in prison?

What can we do to make a change, imagine it was your child what would you want done if they caught the creep? The coverage on this has been huge, but if it were your daughter you would want the same attention. God forbid the next child might be one of ours and quite frankly I am sick of all this human rights bull', these animals need to be put down!! and they need to be scared enough of the consequences to act.

Chemical castration?

I think the anger should be channelled at the government as they are the only people with the power to do anything.
But the last I heard was that she had not been found so it may have not been a paedophile but a couple wanting a child of their own? This is still very wrong and should be severely punished.
In general I think that society as a whole needs to treat children as people with the same rights as adults, instead of as the property of their parents. That way children would be more respected as individuals and have greater protection under the law.
Harsher penalties could be a choice between life imprisonment and castration for paedophiles, since they are not going to stop doing what they are doing voluntarily.
Unfortunetly in this country the government and the legal system favour the criminal rather than the victim. But society as a whole is wrong when the parents are blamed for a criminal committing a crime against a person, i.e Madeline. It is the criminal who is wrong everytime. But because Madeline is seen as in the care of her parents, then it is viewed as a crime against the parents more than against Madeline the person.

I cannot and never will understand our justice system.

ANYONE conficted of child abuse in any form should be castrated. People that want to have children should have to complete a mandatory school on parenting. If they don't do it and/or they do not have a certification for doing so, the child(ren) are taken away by the courts and put up for adoption.

You would have to be a certain age to have children. That would be based on many things.

We pay less attention to our children and families in this country than we do anything else. We can help every damn foreign country but we do not have help here. We don't even have medical coverage here. What we do have is a joke.

We need a president that deals with the UNITED STATES AND THE PROBLEMS HERE AT HOME. We are in an extremely sorry situation.

WHY don't we have laws to fit the crime? By the time a criminal has pleaded down from murder, they spend about 10 days in jail.........Oh, and time off for good behavior. How do you earn good behavior AFTER you have murdered another human being? I don't think you can earn good behavior after abusing an animal. You are what you are and you are released from prison and go do it again.....

Overcrowding problems?? Instead of letting criminals back out on the streets BEFORE they have served their time why not shoot or hang the worst instead??! That would be a much better idea than turning the scum back out. OOPS, here they come again in two months.........Oh, gee.........I wonder why? Molest another child??

Don't get me started on all this.......I could make this a much better world by getting rid of the scum..........

I realize the Madeline tragedy did not happen here in the U. S.
There are many sides to that story. I think we should just focus on Madeline and not cast blame any where. Blame won't bring her back.

Believe me, if there was anything I could do to help Madeleine, I would, in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, there isn't. I am guilty of speaking my mind about the McCanns, I'll hold my hand up to that because I happen to think Madeleine is more important than they are. I have a 3 year old daughter, so perhaps I am biased when it comes to children, mine or anyone elses.
I would love to make these animals (paedophiles, not the McCanns, I don't think that little of them) suffer for the rest of their natural, just like they make their victims do. I will never understand why the law always seems to come down on the side of these...things...can't call them people...and allow them to roam free among innocent children. I am disgusted and ashamed of the people who make these laws. I have never agreed with the mob mentality, but when it comes to paedophiles, any form of punishment is acceptable to my mind. What is all this shite about not giving out information as to where they live? How can anyone put children at risk like that?
Sorry for the rant, but along with racists, these things are the scum of the earth and nothing makes me angrier. However, I don't think I'm going to get any disagreements there, am I?
Sorry, back to your question. Death would be preferable, but seeing as England and/or Britain is such a woolly liberal-thinking country, then life should mean life as far as these...things...are concerned ( can't really call them animals because animals only kill for food.)

The point is this. There have always been paedophiles in the world - it isn't something new. We are all at risk of being a victim of crime. Some people are victims through no fautl of their own and my heart always goes out to them. On the other hand there are irresponsible people who make themselves vulnerable - so for instance, leaving your care unlocked and having it stolen or, abandoning your children and having them abducted. The simple truth is that if those parents had stayed as they should have with their children their daughter would be with them right now. They are dispicable for their actions. I am so angry with THEM for the pain and quite possibly the murder of their own child.

I've said for a long time human rights is pants! If any paedophile went near my kid's I would kill them and serve time for them they should be castrated with a big tattoo on there head, don't waste our money putting them in prison, castration is the answer but all the time human rights people are about that will never happen, abolish human rights and how this world would change for the better!

Sarah's law is something I feel passionate about.
http://www.forsarah.com/html/sarahslaw.html

If a paedophile is caught, then I strongly think that life in prison is what is needed, in cases of murder though, the death penalty. They are sick people that can never be cured.

Your post is refreshing compared to the same questions being posted by others (even though I'm sure they feel as passionately as we do about Madeline being found safe). And here's a star for you.

What a good question....I for one feel an immense anger towards the McCanns, initially for leaving that poor child alone, and now more because of the media grabbing way they are conducting themselves, but i honestly don't know how to deal with it....I have lit candles for little Maddie, and prayed for her safe return every night, but unfortunately,it seems the only way to help is to throw money at the situation.

we need to get angrey!!!! and channel that anger into protecting our children more..Texas has some of the toughest child protection laws pedophiles can not live within 200 feet of children, playgrounds, schools, daycares or recreation centers when ever a sex offender moves into a neighborhood or apartment complex the manager has to send out a letter saying that a registerd sex offender has moved in ..plus all child sex offenders are elligble for the death penalty even if they dont kill the child

I agree, anyone who could hurt a child is not fit to live in society and should be either condemned to life in prison or hanged.
Whether you like/want children or not, most adults would protect a child. It is not normal to want to hurt or abuse a child and therefore IMO people who commit this disgusting crime should be hanged.
